• Research: Support the designer's vision, gathering information on historical periods, specific locations, or design styles.

• Sourcing Materials: finding and procuring materials needed for set construction, decoration, and props. 

• Prop Management: help source, organize, and manage props, ensuring they are available and appropriate for the scene. 

• Set Dressing: assisting with the dressing and arrangement of sets, including furniture, decorations, and set dressing elements. 

• Working with Other Departments: communicate and coordinate with other departments, such as wardrobe, camera, and construction, to ensure a cohesive visual look. 

• Managing Budgets: help track expenses related to the art department and ensure the production stays within budget. 

• On-Set Support: be present on set to assist with any last-minute needs or changes. 

• Attention to Detail: a keen eye for detail is essential for ensuring accuracy and consistency in the visual elements. 

• Communication Skills: effective communication is crucial for coordinating with various departments and conveying information. 

• Organizational Skills: being organized is vital for managing props, materials, and information related to the art department.
